Italian Market Shopping Small Group Day Tour from Nice

1.Italian Market Shopping Small Group Day Tour from Nice

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 128 reviews · 8 hours (approx.) · from $143Our pick

Cross from Nice into Italy by Mercedes minivan, shop Sanremo on Tuesdays or Saturdays, or Bordighera on Thursdays, then explore medieval Dolceacqua. An English or French speaking guide handles the driving and commentary, with guides such as Nora, Noah, Rolf, and Thierry praised for their local insight.

“The weather was awful that day, so our guide improvised throughout the day. The Markets were canceled that day, but we did make it to Italy and had a fabulous lunch and then some small village walking tours. The other couple with us had never been to Monaco, so we traveled there and they were able to see the casino in Monte Carlo and part of the country of Monaco. We didn't get to the markets, but had a great time anyway.”

Start by the Promenade des Anglais, then follow a local guide such as Carmela, Lara, Aline, or Laura through Old Nice, Cours Saleya, and specialty shops. Taste more than 15 local foods, wines, cheeses, olive oils, and pastries before a picnic on Castle Hill.

“Camela was very nice and informative about the history of Nice. We tried cold meats, at least 3 different cheeses and 2 types of bread with wine. Wine was also served at the end with a picnic. The Swiss chard cake was surprisingly delicious. We walked around the market and ate Socca and a caramelized onion tart. There were only 6 of us which made it more fun to chat with the others. I would recommend this food tour.”
